Job Description

We are currently seeking an Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Advancement who will play a vital role in supporting our mission and vision. This individual will have the opportunity to work alongside our dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of our institution.   1. Provide administrative support to the Vice President of Advancement, including managing their schedule, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence.
  2. Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in all tasks and responsibilities.
  3. Serve as a liaison between the Vice President and other departments within the university, as well as external partners and stakeholders.
  4. Assist in the planning and execution of events and initiatives related to fundraising and donor relations.
  5. Manage and maintain confidential information and documents related to the Vice President's responsibilities.
  6. Conduct research and compile data for various projects and reports as needed.
  7. Create and maintain budgets and financial records for the Vice President's office.
  8. Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteers and staff for fundraising events and campaigns.
  9. Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for the Vice President.
  10. Serve as a representative of Biola University and its mission, values, and goals to all internal and external stakeholders.
  11. Support the Vice President in building and maintaining relationships with donors and alumni.
  12. Collaborate with other administrative assistants and team members to ensure smooth operations and communication within the department.
  13. Uphold a professional and positive attitude, serving as a role model to students and colleagues.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth to better serve the university and its mission.
  15. Embody and promote a Christ-centered and service-oriented mindset in all interactions and tasks.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Business Administration, Communications, Or Public Relations.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As An Executive Assistant, Preferably In A Higher Education Or Non-Profit Setting.

  • Excellent Organizational And Time Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Meet Deadlines.

  • Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Interact Professionally With High-Level Stakeholders.

  • Familiarity With Fundraising And Development Processes, As Well As Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Other Relevant Software Programs.
