  1. Develop and teach courses in public relations and strategic communication at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
  2. Create engaging and relevant lesson plans that align with the course objectives and university standards.
  3. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and discussion.
  4. Stay current with industry trends and developments to ensure course material is up-to-date and relevant.
  5. Provide students with practical and theoretical knowledge of effective communication strategies and techniques.
  6. Utilize a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, class discussions, group projects, and case studies, to enhance the learning experience.
  7. Evaluate and grade student assignments, projects, and exams in a timely manner.
  8. Provide meaningful feedback to students to help them improve their skills and understanding of the subject matter.
  9. Hold regular office hours to provide additional support and guidance to students.
  10. Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and teaching strategies.
  11. Serve as a mentor and resource for students, offering career advice and networking opportunities.
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence and uphold the university's values and mission.
  13. Adhere to all university and department policies and procedures.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth in the field of public relations and strategic communication.
  15. Act as an ambassador for the university and represent Biola University in a professional and positive manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Public Relations, Strategic Communication, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Professional Experience In The Field Of Public Relations Or Strategic Communication.

  • Demonstrated Expertise In Developing And Implementing Strategic Communication Plans For Various Organizations.

  • Proven Teaching Experience In A University Setting, With A Focus On Public Relations And Strategic Communication Courses.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Mentor And Guide Students In Their Academic And Professional Development.
