- Collaborate with Head Brewer to develop new and innovative beer recipes.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of brewing supplies.
- Train and supervise other brewery staff, including brewers and cellar workers.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new brewing techniques.
- Represent BJ's Restaurants at beer festivals and events, promoting our brand and products.
- Continuously strive to improve brewing processes and techniques.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in brewery tours and events to educate guests on the brewing process and BJ's beer offerings.

Knowledge Of Brewing Processes And Equipment: The Assistant Brewer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of All Aspects Of The Brewing Process, Including Mash And Wort Production, Fermentation, And Packaging. They Should Also Be Familiar With Various Brewing Equipment, Such As Brewhouses, Fermenters, And Kegging Systems.
Experience In A Production Brewery: Previous Experience Working In A Production Brewery, Preferably With A Craft Beer Focus, Is Essential For This Role. This Will Ensure That The Assistant Brewer Has A Solid Understanding Of Production Processes, Quality Control, And Safety Protocols.
Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills: As An Assistant Brewer, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Helping To Manage The Production Schedule, Ordering Ingredients And Supplies, And Maintaining Accurate Records. Therefore, It Is Important That They Have Excellent Organizational And Time-Management Skills To Ensure The Brewery Runs Smoothly.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Brewing Is A Fast-Paced Industry, And The Assistant Brewer Must Be Able To Work Well Under Pressure. They Should Have The Ability To Multitask, Prioritize Tasks, And Adapt To Changing Demands And Deadlines.
