Assistant Brewer

- Assist the head brewer in all aspects of the brewing process including brewing, fermenting, filtering, and packaging of beers.
- Maintain a clean and organized brewery workspace to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Perform quality control checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure that all beers meet our high standards.
- Help develop new and exciting beer recipes while also maintaining consistency in our existing brews.
- Collaborate with the head brewer to manage inventory levels and place orders for necessary supplies.
- Monitor and record fermentation and carbonation levels to ensure consistency and quality in our beers.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise during the brewing process.
- Assist in training and mentoring new brewery team members.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and innovations to continually improve our brewing processes and products.
- Participate in brewery events and promotions to educate guests about our beers and brewing process.
- Communicate effectively with the head brewer and other brewery team members to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
Knowledge Of Brewing Processes: A Successful Assistant Brewer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Brewing Process, Including Fermentation, Filtration, And Carbonation.
Experience With Equipment Operation: Experience Operating Brewing Equipment, Such As Mash Tuns, Fermenters, And Kegging Systems, Is Essential For An Assistant Brewer Role.
Attention To Detail: Brewing Requires Precise Measurements And Strict Adherence To Recipes. An Assistant Brewer Should Have Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure Consistency And Quality In The Final Product.
Physical Stamina: This Job Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring The Ability To Lift Heavy Bags Of Grain, Move Kegs, And Spend Long Hours On Your Feet.
