- Provide direct patient care: As a Patient Care Tech, you will be responsible for assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and feeding. You will also monitor vital signs and assist with medical procedures as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment: You will be responsible for ensuring that patient rooms and common areas are clean and sanitized at all times. This includes changing linens, restocking supplies, and disinfecting equipment.
- Communicate with patients and families: You will be the primary point of contact for patients and their families, providing updates on their condition, answering questions, and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: You will work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients. This includes reporting any changes in patient condition and assisting with medical procedures.
- Monitor and record patient information: It will be your responsibility to accurately record patient information such as vital signs, intake and output, and any other relevant data. This information is crucial in helping healthcare professionals make informed decisions about patient care.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols: You will be expected to follow all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff. This includes proper hand hygiene, wearing personal protective equipment, and following isolation precautions.
- Provide emotional support: As a Patient Care Tech, you will be a source of comfort and support for patients and their families during a difficult time. You will be expected to provide emotional support and empathy to help alleviate their anxiety and fears.
- Attend trainings and meetings: In order to provide the best care to our patients, we expect our Patient Care Techs to attend trainings and meetings to stay current on best practices and new developments in patient care.

Completion Of A Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Patient Care Technician (Pct) Program.
Previous Experience In A Critical Care Setting, Preferably In A Cardiothoracic Icu.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Cardiac And Respiratory Care, Including Familiarity With Ventilators And Cardiac Monitoring Equipment.
Ability To Provide Compassionate And Patient-Centered Care, With A Focus On Meeting The Physical And Emotional Needs Of Patients And Their Families.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team And Provide Accurate And Timely Patient Updates.
