  1. Conduct comprehensive medication reviews and assessments for patients in the Neuro ICU to ensure safe and effective medication management.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with neurological conditions.
  3. Monitor patient responses to medications and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
  4. Educate patients and their caregivers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
  5. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and provide recommendations for medication therapy based on patient-specific needs.
  6. Stay updated on current trends, research, and developments in neuropharmacology to provide evidence-based care.
  7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing protocols for medication management in the Neuro ICU.
  8. Provide drug information and clinical support to pharmacy staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  9. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to medication use and storage.
  10. Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including medication profiles and clinical notes.
  11. Serve as a resource for pharmacy technicians and assist in training and mentoring new staff members.
  12. Participate in departmental and hospital committees and projects related to pharmacy services and patient care.
  13. Attend continuing education programs and conferences to maintain clinical competency and licensure.
  14. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and safety.
  15. Promote a positive and professional work environment through collaboration, effective communication, and teamwork.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Pharmacy Program.

  • Completion Of A Post-Graduate Residency Program In Critical Care Or Neurology.

  • Active Pharmacist Licensure In The State Of Missouri.

  • Board Certification In Pharmacotherapy (Bcps) Or Critical Care (Bcccp).

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Clinical Pharmacist In A Neuro Icu Setting.
