As an Epic Application Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our Epic electronic health record system.   1. Collaborate with the IT team to ensure successful implementation and integration of the Epic electronic health record system into our healthcare organization.
  2. Serve as the primary point of contact for all Epic-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems in a timely manner.
  3. Conduct regular system maintenance, updates, and upgrades to ensure the Epic system is functioning at its optimal level.
  4. Work closely with end-users, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to understand their needs and provide training and support on how to effectively use the Epic system.
  5. Analyze and assess current workflows and processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and usability of the Epic system.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to the Epic system and make recommendations for system enhancements and upgrades.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and teams to integrate Epic with other applications and systems used within the organization.
  8. Develop and maintain system documentation, including user guides, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
  9. Respond to and resolve any system downtime or performance issues, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care.
  10. Participate in testing and validation efforts for new system features and upgrades.
  11. Adhere to all HIPAA and other regulatory requirements to ensure patient privacy and security.
  12. Provide on-call support as needed for urgent system issues.
  13. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates and status reports on Epic-related projects and tasks.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert on the Epic system, providing guidance and support to other team members and end-users.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for optimization and enhancement of the Epic system to improve the overall patient experience and healthcare outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working With Epic Electronic Medical Record (Emr) System.

  • Epic Certification In At Least One Application Module (E.g. Ambulatory, Inpatient, Him, Etc.).

  • Strong Understanding Of Clinical Workflows And Healthcare Operations.

  • Excellent Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Technical Issues.
