  1. Process blood products accurately and efficiently in accordance with laboratory procedures and protocols.
  2. Ensure the safety of blood products by adhering to strict quality control measures and following established safety protocols.
  3. Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  4. Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate information regarding blood products.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing and results.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or procedural issues that may arise during testing.
  7. Follow established standard operating procedures and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  8. Participate in continuing education and training to stay current on industry advancements and best practices.
  9. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety and quality of laboratory operations.
  11. Adhere to confidentiality policies and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  12. Act as a mentor to new team members and assist with training and onboarding as needed.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or A Related Field

  • Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Through Ascp Or Equivalent Organization

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Blood Bank Or Transfusion Service

  • Strong Knowledge Of Blood Bank Procedures, Regulations, And Safety Protocols

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
