Responsibilities:

1. Ensure accurate coding for patients according to AAPC standards.
2. Communicate effectively with Physicians, other providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
3. Review and analyze complex medical records for accurate coding.
4. Keep accurate and up to date records of coding activity.
5. Maintain a knowledge of new coding regulations and standards.
6. Assist in the development of coding procedures and policies.
7. Provide training and guidance to other team members on coding procedures and standards.
8. Assist in resolving coding related errors and discrepancies.
9. Stay current with the latest coding developments and trends.
10. Proactively identify and recommend process improvements.
