  1. Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum journey.
  2. Attend to the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients and their families.
  3. Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans for each patient.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the progress of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum recovery.
  5. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as needed.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.
  7. Educate patients and their families on various topics including pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care.
  8. Advocate for patients' rights and preferences during the birthing process.
  9. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
  10. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based practices.
  12. Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of midwifery and implement changes as needed.
  13. Foster a positive and supportive work environment for colleagues and students.
  14. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
  15. Promote a positive image of BJC HealthCare and its services to the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Licensure As A Registered Nurse (Rn) In The State Of Missouri.

  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Midwifery From An Accredited Program.

  • Current Certification As A Certified Nurse Midwife (Cnm) From The American Midwifery Certification Board (Amcb).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Cnm In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge And Skills In Providing Prenatal, Labor And Delivery, And Postpartum Care To Patients, As Well As Managing Common Complications And Emergencies.
