  1. Provide exceptional healthcare services to patients with orthopedic conditions.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  3. Conduct physical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and make appropriate treatment and medication recommendations.
  4. Provide follow-up care and monitoring for patients with ongoing orthopedic conditions.
  5. Educate patients and their families on orthopedic conditions, treatments, and preventative measures.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  7. Stay current with developments and advancements in the field of orthopedics through continuing education and research.
  8. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
  9. Ensure compliance with all healthcare laws, regulations, and standards.
  10. Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families.
  11. Foster a positive and professional work environment.
  12. Act as a mentor and resource for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
  13. Adhere to BJC HealthCare's policies and procedures.
  14. Attend trainings and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
  15. Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Orthopedics From An Accredited Program.

  • Current And Unrestricted State License As A Nurse Practitioner In The State Of Missouri.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Nurse Practitioner In An Orthopedics Setting.

  • Certification As A Nurse Practitioner In Orthopedics Through A Recognized National Certification Board (E.g. Ancc, Aanp).

  • Strong Knowledge Of Orthopedic Conditions, Treatments, And Procedures, As Well As Experience With Pre And Post-Operative Care For Orthopedic Patients.
