
Physician Assistant - Pediatric Hospitalist

- Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to pediatric patients in a hospital setting.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for pediatric patients.
- Conduct physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, and order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Monitor and assess the ongoing health and development of pediatric patients.
- Educate patients and their families on health and wellness, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
- Comply with all legal and ethical guidelines and standards of practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.
- Stay up-to-date with current medical research and advancements in pediatric healthcare.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies and protocols for pediatric care.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the well-being and safety of pediatric patients.
- Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings and educational programs.
- Continuously strive to improve patient care and outcomes through self-evaluation and professional development.
Graduate Degree From An Accredited Physician Assistant Program
Current Certification From The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Medicine, Preferably In A Hospital Or Acute Care Setting
Active State License To Practice As A Physician Assistant In The State Of Missouri
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced Environment.
