To qualify for this role, you must possess a minimum of two years of experience in medical coding or a related field. Responsibilities: • Effectively utilize medical coding and terminology to accurately interpret medical records • Ensure coding operations run efficiently and correctly • Balance accuracy with meeting tight deadlines • Maintain patient confidentiality • Monitor coding procedures and regulations to ensure compliance with governmental regulations • Stay current with industry updates and developments • Work collaboratively with other departments, staff and management • Provide coding consultation and education to other staff members • Manage coding queries and resolve coding discrepancies • Assist in the development and implementation of coding standards and procedures • Participate in coding audits and provide feedback as needed
