Job Description

At BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, we are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Customer Service Representative who is excited to join our team and help us provide excellent customer service to our members. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and effectively in order to provide solutions. Our Customer Service Representative must be passionate about helping others and providing top-notch customer service. If you are someone who is dedicated, organized, and has a positive attitude, we want to hear from you!Required Qualifications:• High School Diploma or GED• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve• Working knowledge of computer applications and software• Excellent customer service attitude and excellent phone etiquette

Responsibilities: • Answer incoming calls and emails from customers in a timely and professional manner. • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a friendly and professional manner. • Provide information regarding products and services available to customers. • Troubleshoot customer issues and provide solutions. • Ensure customer satisfaction by following up on customer inquiries. • Develop and maintain knowledge of BlueCross BlueShield products and services. • Maintain customer records. • Update customer accounts with accurate information. • Follow up on customer orders. • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers. • Ensure customer service standards are maintained. • Assist with other duties as needed.
