Pharmacy Technician

We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Pharmacy Technician to join BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina (BCBSSC). In this role, you will support the pharmacy team in providing quality services to our customers. You must be able to work independently and have a strong sense of customer service. Responsibilities:

1. Assist pharmacists in providing quality services to customers.
2. Fill prescriptions and ensure accuracy of medication orders.
3. Maintain pharmacy inventory and control drug distribution.
4. Answer customer inquiries and provide appropriate advice.
5. Process customer payments and maintain financial records.
6. Monitor patient safety and comply with regulations.
7. Prepare insurance claims and process third-party payments.
8. Maintain records of all medication orders and sales.
9. Prepare and label medications for distribution.
10. Monitor expiration dates and inventory levels.
11. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice.
12. Provide customer education on proper medication use and possible side effects.
13. Manage patient profiles and records in pharmacy system.
14. Train and mentor pharmacy technicians.
