Automation Technician

Responsible for answering trouble calls to maintain maximum uptime for all packaging equipment. Responsible for the design and test of system prototypes based on the engineer’s design. Responsible for reviewing manuals and following diagrams to isolate and repair problems on machinery. Maintains cue track documentation and participates in cue track rotation. Responsible for troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic processes of both automation and manual equipment in order to support production needs Inspects and maintains electronic, hydraulic and motorized equipment and systems. Controls machines and processes by using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes. Responsible for updating maintenance and inspection records and following up with the Shift Manager. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment by conforming to all established safety policies and procedures. Develop a thorough knowledge of automation department equipment specific to the production in order to operate it safely
