
Energy Resourcing Specialist
Support the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy for incremental savings and low carbon solutions for bps internal energy and utilities requirements. Analyze trends and regulations in the energy space to proactively identify opportunities that benefit the company. Develop strategies to capture movement in energy markets to identify cost savings opportunities for new and existing bp sites. Assist on critical strategies with other groups in bp as we develop and execute on our low carbon agenda. (clean energy supply perspective). Work collaboratively with the trading and operations teams to facilitate energy transactions; develop plans and objectives to ensure commitments are met and delivering against cost savings goals. Work collaboratively with utility procurement/category managers to execute electrical supply contracts that reduce cost, minimize risk and leverage opportunities that benefit company. Be a passionate self-starter.
5+ years of experience working in utility/energy industry β preferably in a commercial role
2+ years of power transaction or contracting experience in US or international energy markets
Proven commercial acumen with ability to identify opportunities and deliver results.
Proven ability to evaluate new energy markets, utility tariffs, policies, power contracts, or evaluating new energy sourcing opportunities and technologies
