  2. Stay up-to-date on ever-changing laws and regulations related to sanctions.
  3. Collaborate with team members to identify and escalate potential issues.
  4. Prepare and present reports on sanction screening activities to management.
  5. Utilize analytical skills to identify patterns and trends in data.
  6. Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain effective sanction screening processes.
  7. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding sanctions-related matters.
  8. Ensure all sanctions-related activities are conducted in a timely and accurate manner.
  9. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company's risk appetite and tolerance for sanctions-related issues.
  10. Take ownership of individual responsibilities and maintain a high level of accountability for all actions and decisions.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Sanction Screening Regulations: A Sanction Screening Analyst At British American Tobacco Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Global Sanctions Regulations And Laws, Including Those Imposed By The United Nations, The European Union, And The United States. This Includes Staying Up-To-Date On Any Changes Or Updates To These Regulations.

  • Analytical Skills: The Ability To Analyze And Interpret Complex Data Is Essential For A Sanction Screening Analyst. They Must Be Able To Identify Potential Matches And Assess The Risk Level Of Each Match Accurately. Critical Thinking And Attention To Detail Are Also Important In This Role.

  • Experience With Screening Software: Experience Working With Screening Software, Such As World-Check Or Accuity, Is Often Required For A Sanction Screening Analyst Position. Candidates Should Be Proficient In Using These Tools To Conduct Screening And Have A Thorough Understanding Of Their Functionalities And Limitations.

  • Communication Skills: A Sanction Screening Analyst Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate Their Findings And Recommendations To Relevant Stakeholders. This Includes Writing Clear And Concise Reports And Presenting Information In A Professional Manner.

  • Multitasking Abilities: British American Tobacco Operates In Multiple Countries And Must Comply With Various Sanctions Regulations. As Such, A Sanction Screening Analyst Must Be Able To Handle A High Volume Of Screening Requests And Prioritize Tasks Effectively. They Must Also Be Able To Manage Their Time Efficiently To Meet Tight Deadlines.
