- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the z/OS environment.
- Perform system upgrades and ensure compatibility with existing software.
- Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement new system features and enhancements.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in mainframe technology.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
- Develop and maintain system documentation for reference and future use.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline system operations.
- Adhere to strict security protocols to protect company and client data.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and troubleshooting.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend new software or tools to improve system performance.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates and progress reports.
Minimum Of 8 Years Of Experience In Z/Os Systems Programming, With A Strong Understanding Of Mainframe Architecture And Operation.
Expertise In Installation, Configuration, And Maintenance Of Z/Os Operating System And Related Software, Such As Cics, Db2, And Ims.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Z/Os System Internals And Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Complex System Issues.
Proficiency In Scripting And Programming Languages Commonly Used In Z/Os Environment, Such As Rexx And Assembler.
Experience With Performance Monitoring And Tuning Of Z/Os Systems And The Ability To Recommend And Implement Optimization Solutions.
