Job Description

Welcome to Mercury Marine, a leading manufacturer of recreational marine engines and accessories. We are currently seeking a Wave Planner to join our team on the second shift. As a Wave Planner, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations by ensuring timely and efficient shipping and receiving of our products. We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual with a strong understanding of logistics and inventory management. If you have a passion for the marine industry and a drive to excel in a fast-paced environment, we would love to have you on our team.

  1. Create and maintain a wave plan to optimize the flow of products through the supply chain, ensuring timely and efficient shipping and receiving.
  2. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and purchasing teams to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained.
  3. Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of orders and deliveries.
  4. Communicate with carriers and logistics providers to arrange transportation and track shipment status.
  5. Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the supply chain, taking proactive measures to minimize disruptions.
  6. Analyze data and trends to make recommendations for process improvements and cost savings.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inventory, shipments, and transportation.
  8. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  9. Train and mentor new team members on wave planning processes and procedures.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for improving supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in logistics and supply chain management.
  12. Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain positive relationships with vendors, customers, and other stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Supply Chain Management: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Supply Chain Management, Specifically In Planning And Scheduling Functions.

  • Knowledge Of Mercury Marine Products: A Thorough Understanding Of Mercury Marine's Product Lines, Including Outboard And Inboard Engines, Is Essential For This Role. Previous Experience In The Marine Industry Is Preferred.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: The Ability To Analyze Data And Make Sound Decisions Based On That Data Is Crucial For A Wave Planner. Candidates Must Have Excellent Problem-Solving Skills And The Ability To Work Under Pressure.

  • Planning And Organizational Skills: The Wave Planner Will Be Responsible For Creating And Maintaining Production Schedules, Coordinating Shipments, And Ensuring On-Time Delivery. Candidates Must Have Exceptional Planning And Organizational Skills To Excel In This Role.

  • Teamwork And Communication: The Wave Planner Will Work Closely With Production Teams, Logistics, And Other Departments To Ensure Smooth Operations. Candidates Must Have Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Team Environment.
