- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve merchandise within the warehouse and distribution center.
- Ensure the safe and proper handling of merchandise at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize accidents and injuries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate the movement of merchandise.
- Use computerized inventory systems to track and locate merchandise within the warehouse.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Meet productivity and accuracy goals set by management.
- Identify and report any issues or discrepancies with merchandise or equipment to the appropriate person.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Train and mentor new forklift operators as needed.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain a positive attitude and uphold the company's values and standards in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
Valid Forklift Operator Certification: Candidates Must Have A Valid Forklift Operator Certification From An Accredited Training Program.
Prior Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Operating A Forklift In A Warehouse Or Retail Setting Is Preferred.
Physical Ability: Forklift Operators Should Have The Physical Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Objects, As Well As The Coordination And Dexterity To Maneuver The Forklift In Tight Spaces.
Safety Consciousness: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Be Able To Operate The Forklift In A Safe And Responsible Manner To Prevent Accidents Or Injuries.
Attention To Detail: Forklift Operators Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Accurately And Safely Move Merchandise Throughout The Warehouse And Store, Ensuring That It Is Properly Organized And Stored.
