Job Description

Welcome to Burlington Stores! We are a rapidly growing national off-price retailer with over 700 stores across the country. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Retail Stocking Team Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of stock associates to ensure the efficient stocking and replenishment of merchandise on our sales floor. We are looking for someone who is passionate about retail, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong attention to detail.   1. Lead and manage a team of stock associates to ensure timely and efficient stocking of merchandise on the sales floor.
  2. Monitor stock levels and create replenishment plans to maintain a well-stocked sales floor.
  3. Train and onboard new team members, providing guidance and support to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  4. Prioritize and delegate tasks to team members based on store needs and individual strengths.
  5. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to improve productivity and efficiency.
  6. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among team members.
  7. Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed by team members at all times.
  8. Communicate effectively with management and other departments to address any stock-related issues and provide solutions.
  9. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with periodic stock audits.
  10. Stay updated on company policies, procedures, and merchandise to provide excellent customer service and product knowledge to customers.
  11. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase productivity and efficiency within the stock team.
  12. Participate in store meetings and contribute ideas for improving store operations.
  13. Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to stock availability and work towards finding a resolution.
  14. Keep the sales floor organized and visually appealing by ensuring merchandise is properly displayed and priced.
  15. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensure team members do the same.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Retail Stocking: A Successful Candidate For A Retail Stocking Team Lead Position Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Retail Stocking Role. This Experience Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Knowledge Of Store Operations And Inventory Management.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Team Lead, The Candidate Must Possess Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team Of Stock Associates. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Direction And Feedback, And Resolve Conflicts.

  • Excellent Organizational And Time-Management Skills: Retail Stocking Requires A High Level Of Organization And Time-Management To Ensure Merchandise Is Stocked And Displayed Correctly. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Efficiently Managing Their Time And Prioritizing Tasks.

  • Knowledge Of Inventory Management Systems: Burlington Stores Uses Advanced Inventory Management Systems To Track And Replenish Merchandise. A Qualified Candidate Should Have Experience Using These Systems And Be Able To Quickly Learn And Adapt To New Technology.

  • Physical Stamina: Retail Stocking Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring Candidates To Be On Their Feet For Extended Periods And Lift Heavy Boxes And Items. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job.
