Fleet Manager

The Fleet Manager will exercise discretion and independent judgment in managing, directing, and overseeing all of the drivers assigned to his/her fleet, as well as overseeing asset utilization to maximize fleet profitability and customer satisfaction and retention. Planning and apportioning work for all drivers in fleet. Manage drivers and direct fleet management day-to-day operations. Dispatch drivers to ensure on-time delivery and advise on weather conditions. Contact drivers to swap loads. Oversee tracking of drivers, loads, and receivers. Simultaneously deal with multiple customers and their different special requirements. Strategize and plan regarding future workload. Handle and resolve driver complaints and grievances. Handle and resolve urgent situations in a professional and timely manner. Oversee scheduling/ re-scheduling of appointments with customers.
