The Program technician reviews complex license application packages, to include other specialty areas such as Bail applications, and analyzes and interprets related documents and records. The candidate researches records and resolves problems, in person, by telephone, or through written communication with applicants or agencies. Staff work at this level requires in-depth knowledge of the Insurance Code, Penal Code sections applicable to misrepresentation and fraudulent practices, and laws, rules, regulations and policies of insurance licensing in general.
