
Access and E-Resource Services Librarian
Manage all aspects of course reserves services for the Caltech Library, including physical and digital course materials, and the policies and systems related to these services. Develop the course reserve collection with support from Research Services librarians. Manage all aspects of e-resources access for Caltech Library, including managing the ERM and OpenURL link resolver systems. Identify and implement new approaches to electronic resource linking and accessibility and tools for electronic resources management. Maintain awareness of current trends in policy, practices, and technologies as they pertain to access services, inter-library loan, document delivery, user experience, electronic resources management, and academic librarianship in general. Gather usage statistics and other assessment data for physical and electronic resources and prepare various reports using those statistics. Manage data analysis projects. Suggest, coordinate, and facilitate user engagement initiatives geared towards improving user services. Monitor trends and recommend emerging technologies for resource sharing and copyright management with the Head of ACS to strategically discover, plan, and improve library services in light of evolving technologies, patron experiences, and business opportunities.
1 year of related library work experience
Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, colleagues, and students
3 or more years of library experience in an access services role a plus
