Job Description

Counsel students and conduct presentations about Caltech undergraduate life, admissions and financial aid policies/procedures to audiences on campus, in high schools, and at large off-campus venues. Plan and execute an effective recruitment travel plan that makes appropriate use of staff time, budget, and data to target the most promising candidates to Caltech. Travel as much as 4-6 weeks during the spring and fall months, including but not limited to out of state travel. Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors and alumni in an assigned fixed region, as well as with faculty, staff and other relevant stakeholders. Thoroughly read, critically evaluate, and recommend appropriate admission decisions on highly competitive applications. Carry out other admissions-related projects as assigned by the Director or an Associate Director.
