
Assistant Athletic Trainer
The Assistant Athletic Trainer position at California State University, Fullerton is an exciting opportunity to join a nationally-recognized collegiate athletic department. We are seeking a qualified individual who is passionate about supporting the health and wellness of our student-athletes. The successful candidate will work with the head athletic trainer and medical staff to provide quality and comprehensive medical care for our intercollegiate sports teams.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field, and must be certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) with a current state license. The ideal candidate will also have experience providing healthcare and injury prevention services to athletes. Additionally, the successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities:
-Assist the head athletic trainer in providing quality and comprehensive medical care for intercollegiate sports teams.
-Implement injury prevention programs and provide healthcare services to athletes.
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current regulations and best practices in the field of athletic training.
-Maintain accurate records of athletic injuries and treatments.
-Manage and coordinate medical equipment and supplies.
-Provide education and training to athletes on injury prevention and proper nutrition.
-Develop and maintain relationships with athletes, coaches, and other sports medicine staff.
-Monitor athletes’ performances and progress during rehabilitation and return to play.
-Administer first aid and emergency care if needed.
-Assist with other sports medicine related duties as needed.
Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training
Certified Athletic Trainer (Atc) Credential
Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience As An Athletic Trainer
Knowledge Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations
Proficiency In The Use Of Microsoft Office Suite
