Responsibilities of an Aviation Insurance Specialist

As an Aviation Insurance Specialist, your primary responsibility is to assist customers in obtaining the most comprehensive and cost-effective coverage for their aircraft and related operations.

You will need to be knowledgeable in the various types of coverage available and able to explain them to customers in an easy to understand way.

You will also need to be familiar with the many regulations that govern aviation insurance and be able to explain them to customers.

In addition, you must be able to accurately assess the customers’ needs and provide the appropriate coverage for their situation. This may include assessing the type of aircraft, the expected use of the aircraft, and any special conditions that may affect coverage.

You will also need to be able to assess the customers’ budget and work with them to find the most suitable coverage for their needs.

You will need to develop strong relationships with the customers and insurance carriers to ensure that the customer is getting the most comprehensive and cost-effective coverage.

You will also need to regularly review policies to ensure that coverage remains in line with the customer’s needs.

Finally, you will need to be willing to work with customers to resolve any issues that may arise with their coverage.

This may include helping to resolve disputes between the customer and the insurance carrier, providing assistance with claims, and negotiating with insurance carriers for better coverage or lower premiums.
