  1. Develop innovative pet food products that meet the evolving needs and preferences of pet owners.
  2. Conduct research and analysis to identify market trends and consumer insights related to pet food.
  3. Utilize knowledge of pet food formulation to create high-quality, nutritious products.
  4. Lead and manage projects from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company goals.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and bring new pet food products to market.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in pet food technology.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality ingredients for pet food products.
  8. Conduct sensory evaluations and trials to ensure product quality and palatability.
  9. Develop and maintain product specifications and documentation.
  10. Mentor and coach junior team members and provide technical expertise to support their development.
  11. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop product positioning and messaging.
  12. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to pet food production.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Food Science Or Related Field: A Senior Pet Food Innovation Scientist At Cargill Should Possess An Advanced Degree In Food Science, Animal Science, Or A Related Field. This Demonstrates A Deep Understanding Of The Principles Of Food And Nutrition, As Well As A Strong Foundation In Scientific Research Methodologies.

  • Extensive Experience In Product Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In The Product Development Of Pet Food.
