- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer accounting records for the CarMax CAF team.
- Communicate with customers, both internal and external, to resolve any accounting or billing discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of customer payments and refunds.
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management to track customer account activity and identify potential issues.
- Maintain a high level of customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
- Monitor and track outstanding customer balances, ensuring timely and accurate collections.
- Review and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay current on company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all company and legal requirements related to customer accounting and billing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Extensive Experience In Customer Accounting: A Senior Clerk At Carmax Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of The Principles And Practices Of Customer Accounting. They Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A High-Volume Retail Or Automotive Environment.
Proficiency In Accounting Software: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Well-Versed In Using Accounting Software Such As Sap, Quickbooks, Or Oracle. They Should Be Comfortable With Processing Financial Transactions, Managing Invoices, And Reconciling Accounts.
Strong Analytical Skills: As A Senior Clerk, Caf Customer Accounting, One Must Have Excellent Analytical Skills To Interpret Financial Data, Identify Trends, And Make Sound Decisions. They Should Have Experience In Analyzing Financial Statements, Performing Variance Analysis, And Preparing Financial Reports.
