
General Supervisor/Laboratory Manager
Provides day to day supervision of personnel performing high complexity testing. Must be on-site to provide direct supervision when high complexity testing is performed by certain individuals. Monitors test analyses and specimen examination to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained. Maintain quality checks on safety of laboratories, including biohazards and insure maintenance of the facilities according to Good Laboratory Practices. Develop and implement Laboratory(s) policies and procedures. Manage and prioritize operational policies and procedures; work with research staff on issues which impact laboratory services. Coordinate and supervise the technical activities, informative programs, and infrastructure related to the operation of the specialized laboratories. Assure that the laboratory technicians are accurately trained in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and equipment specific requirements. .
3-5 years of high-complexity clinical laboratory experience
At least 2 years laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing.
