- Identify and source necessary components and materials for Caterpillar's products.

- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Implement cost-saving strategies and continuously monitor supplier performance to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and processes.
- Continuously research and analyze market trends and technological advancements to identify potential new suppliers and materials.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and consistent supply chain.
- Work closely with engineering teams to provide technical support and expertise in the selection and procurement of materials.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials and avoid stock shortages.
- Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the procurement process to minimize production disruptions.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to procurement and materials sourcing.
- Train and mentor junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge in procurement engineering.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or A Related Field.
At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Product Procurement, Preferably In The Heavy Equipment Or Automotive Industry.
Demonstrated Knowledge Of Supply Chain Management, Sourcing, And Cost Analysis.
Strong Communication Skills And Experience Working With Global Suppliers And Cross-Functional Teams.
Proficiency In Project Management And Ability To Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
