- Accurately code all anesthesia services in compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
- Review and analyze medical records to identify documentation and coding deficiencies.
- Work closely with anesthesia providers to clarify documentation and ensure accurate coding.
- Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams to resolve coding-related denials and appeals.
- Stay updated on current coding guidelines and regulations related to anesthesia services.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity in coding and data entry.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth workflow.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Participate in coding audits and provide feedback for improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of new coding protocols.
- Attend training and continuing education programs to enhance coding skills and knowledge.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Health Initiatives while performing job duties.
Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification From Ahima Or Aapc.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Medical Coding, Preferably In Anesthesia Coding.
Strong Understanding Of Cpt, Icd-10, And Hcpcs Coding Systems.
Knowledge Of Anesthesia Billing And Reimbursement Processes.
Familiarity With Electronic Health Records (Ehr) And Coding Software.
