  1. Accurately code anesthesia procedures using appropriate coding systems and guidelines.
  2. Review and analyze medical records to identify anesthesia services provided and assign appropriate codes.
  3. Ensure compliance with all coding and billing regulations, including HIPAA and CMS guidelines.
  4. Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies or missing information in medical records.
  5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of anesthesia coding and billing guidelines and updates.
  6. Collaborate with billing and coding team to ensure timely and accurate submission of claims.
  7. Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  8. Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines in handling patient information.
  9. Assist in the resolution of coding and billing issues as they arise.
  10. Maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced work environment.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
  12. Maintain accurate records and documentation of coding activities.
  13. Participate in training and educational opportunities to enhance coding skills and knowledge.
  14. Act as a resource for team members and provide guidance on complex coding cases.
  15. Contribute to the overall success of the organization by ensuring accurate and timely coding and billing for anesthesia services.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Certification

  • At Least 2 Years Of Coding Experience In The Field Of Anesthesia

  • Strong Knowledge Of Cpt, Icd-10, And Hcpcs Coding Guidelines Related To Anesthesia Services

  • Proficiency In Using Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems And Coding Software

  • Ability To Accurately Abstract And Interpret Medical Records And Documentation For Coding Purposes
