Job Description

  1. Perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties to support the operations of the Specialty Clinic.
  2. Greet and welcome patients in a warm and friendly manner, creating a positive and compassionate atmosphere.
  3. Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with preparing them for their appointments.
  4. Take patient vital signs, record medical history, and assist with medical procedures as directed by the healthcare provider.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including entering data into electronic medical records systems.
  6. Communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare team members in a professional and respectful manner.
  7. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the health and safety of patients and staff.
  8. Assist with scheduling appointments, answering phones, and managing patient inquiries and concerns.
  9. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide coordinated and comprehensive care to patients.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices and advancements in medical technology.
  11. Uphold the values and mission of Catholic Health Initiatives in all interactions and behaviors.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  13. Ensure a clean and organized work environment to promote a safe and efficient workflow.
  14. Provide exceptional customer service and prioritize patient satisfaction.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, both personally and as a member of the healthcare team.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Specialty Clinic Certified Medical Assistant At Catholic Health Initiatives Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures A Basic Level Of Academic Knowledge And Ability To Understand Medical Terminology.

  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Certification: Chi Requires All Specialty Clinic Certified Medical Assistants To Hold A Current Cma Certification From An Accredited Institution. This Certification Demonstrates A Proficiency In Medical Assisting Skills Such As Patient Care, Medication Administration, And Medical Office Management.

  • Prior Medical Office Experience: Chi Prefers Candidates With At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Medical Office Setting. This Experience Provides A Strong Foundation In Medical Office Procedures And Customer Service Skills.

  • Strong Computer Skills: In Today's Healthcare Environment, Computer Skills Are Essential For Medical Assistants. Chi Seeks Candidates With Strong Proficiency In Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems And Other Healthcare-Related Software.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Specialty Clinic Certified Medical Assistant, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For Effective Patient Care.
