  1. Conduct thorough and accurate patient assessments to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  2. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated and individualized patient care.
  3. Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications.
  4. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  5. Monitor and manage patient symptoms, reactions to treatment, and overall progress.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  7. Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and their families.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.
  9. Stay current with advances in surgical oncology and evidence-based practices.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  11. Foster a positive and professional work environment through effective communication and teamwork.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Compassionate Care To Patients And Their Families.

  • Advanced Degree In Nursing, Such As A Master Of Science In Nursing (Msn) Or Doctor Of Nursing Practice (Dnp), With A Specialization In Surgical Oncology.

  • Current Rn And Np Licensure In The State Of California, With A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Surgical Oncology Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Nurse Practitioner By A Recognized National Certifying Body, Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc) Or The American Association Of Nurse Practitioners (Aanp).

  • Strong Clinical Knowledge And Skills In Surgical Oncology, Including The Ability To Assess And Manage Patients Pre- And Post-Surgery, Perform Procedures Such As Biopsies And Drain Placement, And Provide Patient Education And Counseling.
