
Temp On-Call Athletic Trainer

- Provide top-notch care and support to student-athletes in a collegiate setting.
- Utilize knowledge and experience in athletic training to promote wellness and help athletes perform at their best.
- Collaborate with coaches and other athletic department staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans for injuries and illnesses.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of injuries and determine appropriate treatment and rehabilitation plans.
- Administer first aid and emergency care as needed during practices, games, and events.
- Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and progress for each student-athlete.
- Educate student-athletes on injury prevention, proper stretching and conditioning techniques, and overall health and wellness.
- Communicate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure the best possible outcomes for student-athletes.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and advancements in athletic training and incorporate them into practice.
- Adhere to all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations regarding the health and well-being of student-athletes.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Attend team practices, games, and events as scheduled by the athletic department.
- Serve as a role model for student-athletes, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior.
- Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Uphold the mission and values of Chapman University and the athletic department.
Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training Or Related Field From An Accredited University.
Current Certification From The National Athletic Trainers' Association (Nata) Board Of Certification (Boc).
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Athletic Trainer In A Collegiate Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Injury Prevention, Evaluation, And Rehabilitation Techniques.
Ability To Work Flexible Hours, Including Evenings And Weekends, To Accommodate The Needs Of Athletic Teams And Events.
