Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at CHOC Children's Hospital as a Clinical Research Coordinator in our Orthopedics department. As a Clinical Research Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating and overseeing clinical research studies related to orthopedic conditions in children. You will work closely with physicians, research staff, and patients to ensure the successful implementation and completion of research protocols. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a degree in a health-related field and at least 2 years of experience in clinical research. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for improving the lives of pediatric patients through research.   1. Coordinate and oversee clinical research studies related to orthopedic conditions in children.
  2. Collaborate with physicians, research staff, and patients to ensure successful implementation and completion of research protocols.
  3. Develop and maintain study documents, including protocols, informed consent forms, and data collection tools.
  4. Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and ethical standards in research.
  5. Screen and enroll eligible patients in research studies, including obtaining informed consent.
  6. Conduct study visits and collect and record study data accurately and promptly.
  7. Communicate regularly with study sponsors and other stakeholders to provide updates on study progress.
  8. Participate in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies to meet study enrollment goals.
  9. Assist in the preparation and submission of study reports and manuscripts.
  10. Maintain accurate and organized study records and files.
  11. Train and supervise research assistants and other team members involved in the study.
  12. Attend relevant conferences and training sessions to stay updated on the latest developments in pediatric orthopedic research.
  13. Maintain strict confidentiality of all study-related information.
  14. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  16. Effectively communicate with patients and their families to answer any questions or concerns related to the research study.
  17. Take initiative to identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the course of the study.
  18. Collaborate with other departments within the hospital to ensure smooth coordination of research activities.
  19. Ensure all study-related equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stocked.
  20. Uphold the mission and values of CHOC Children's Hospital in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Health-Related Field, Such As Biology, Nursing, Or Healthcare Administration.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In Clinical Research, Preferably In The Field Of Orthopedics.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Experience With Data Collection And Analysis.

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Multidisciplinary Team.

  • Certification As A Clinical Research Coordinator (Crc) Through A Recognized Organization, Such As The Association Of Clinical Research Professionals (Acrp) Or The Society Of Clinical Research Associates (Socra).
