We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families. As a Massage Therapist at CHOC, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise to provide therapeutic massages to our patients, helping to ease their pain and promote relaxation. Ideal candidates will have a strong passion for pediatric care, excellent communication skills, and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist.   1. Provide therapeutic massages to pediatric patients to help alleviate pain and promote relaxation.
  2. Utilize expertise in massage techniques to tailor treatments to individual patient needs.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure a positive and comfortable experience.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and progress.
  5. Stay up-to-date on current massage therapy techniques and advancements in pediatric care.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and national regulations for massage therapy.
  8. Maintain a clean and safe work environment for patients and staff.
  9. Educate patients and their families on the benefits of massage therapy and provide recommendations for at-home care.
  10. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and respect for patients and their families.
  11. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  12. Represent CHOC Children's Hospital in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid State License Or Certification: A Massage Therapist At Choc Children's Hospital Must Hold A Valid License Or Certification From The State In Which They Will Be Practicing. This Ensures That They Have Met The Necessary Educational And Training Requirements To Provide Safe And Effective Massage Therapy Services.

  • Pediatric Massage Training: Choc Children's Hospital Specializes In Pediatric Care, So It Is Important For A Massage Therapist To Have Specific Training In Providing Massage Therapy To Children. This May Include Courses In Pediatric Massage Techniques, Child Development, And Working With Children With Special Needs.

  • Experience Working With Children: Along With Specialized Training, Choc Children's Hospital Prefers Candidates Who Have Previous Experience Working With Children.
