SQL DBA
Install, configure and maintain SQL Servers. Manage SQL server databases Plan and install patches. Backup and restore on-prem and Azure SQL databases. Monitor SQL Agent jobs and respond to critical job notifications on failure. Monitor servers for any performance issues and escalate as needed Monitor and optimize the performance of on-prem and cloud databases. Automate common management tasks using PowerShell. Evaluates data access and security to ensure that electronic data resources are available to those who need access and protected. Creating documentation and maintenance plans, assigning monitoring threshold values. Test backup/recovery, replication, failover, and disaster recovery. Works collaboratively with the application support and development team including architects, developers to ensure project success.
5+ years SQL DBA experience
1-2 years of Azure SQL experience
Microsoft Azure Certification is a plus
Experience with backup strategies, replication, and DR solutions for SQL is a must
