
Community Engagement Specialist

- Develop and maintain strong partnerships and relationships with community organizations, schools, and individuals to support the mission and goals of Cincinnati Children's.
- Identify and engage with community leaders and advocates to promote and advocate for the needs of the organization and the community.
- Develop and implement effective strategies and initiatives to engage and empower individuals to become advocates for change.
- Collaborate with various departments within the organization to ensure alignment and support for community engagement efforts.
- Plan and execute events and activities that promote community involvement and support for the organization.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify community needs and trends, and use this information to inform engagement strategies.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and the community, providing information and resources to community members and organizations.
- Develop and maintain a database of community contacts and partnerships, and regularly communicate updates and progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement efforts, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in community engagement, and continually seek opportunities to enhance and innovate our approach.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create and distribute materials that promote and highlight community engagement efforts.
- Represent the organization at community events and meetings, and serve as a spokesperson for our community engagement initiatives.
- Train and mentor team members and volunteers to support community engagement efforts.
- Adhere to all ethical, legal, and regulatory guidelines related to community engagement activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of community engagement efforts and outcomes.
Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Community Engagement Or Outreach, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Non-Profit Setting.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage And Build Relationships With Diverse Communities.
Strong Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Plan, Coordinate, And Execute Community Events And Initiatives.
Knowledge Of Current Community Health Issues And A Commitment To Promoting Health Equity And Addressing Social Determinants Of Health.
