Librarian

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Librarian to join the team at Cincinnati Children's. In this role, you will be responsible for providing library services to our patients and their families. You should have a passion for helping people and providing excellent customer service. To be successful as our Librarian, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field and experience working in a library setting. You should have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to take initiative and think on your feet. You should also be comfortable using library software and online resources. Knowledge of children's literature and an understanding of the needs of children and families is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide library services to patients and their families, including circulation, reference, and instruction.
2. Assist in the selection, acquisition, and maintenance of library materials.
3. Utilize library software and other online resources.
4. Provide excellent customer service to library patrons.
5. Maintain library collections and equipment.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of library programs.
7. Create and manage library policies and procedures.
8. Research and answer questions from library patrons.
9. Manage the library budget.
10. Stay up to date with the latest library technology and trends.
