
Music Therapist
Are you passionate about music and have experience working with children? Cincinnati Children’s is looking for a Music Therapist to provide music therapy services to our pediatric patients. We seek an individual who possesses a unique combination of education, experience, and dedication to helping children and adolescents reach their fullest potential. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of music therapy practices, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.The Music Therapist will be responsible for providing clinical and therapeutic services to patients within our hospital. This individual will create and implement individualized treatment plans and goals for patients, as well as collaborate with other members of the patient’s healthcare team to ensure optimal care. We are looking for a compassionate Music Therapist who is committed to helping us provide the highest quality care to our patients.Required Qualifications:- Master’s Degree in Music Therapy- Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC)- Minimum of two years of experience providing music therapy services- Knowledge of music therapy assessment, treatment, and evaluation techniques- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to music therapy services- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals for patients
- Provide clinical and therapeutic services to patients within the hospital
- Assess, evaluate, and treat patients using music therapy techniques
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Maintain accurate records of patient care
- Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations related to music therapy services
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
- Foster positive relationships with patients and families
