
Nurse Practitioner, Inpatient Neurology Oncology

- Provide comprehensive and compassionate healthcare services to pediatric patients with neurological and oncological conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical exams, medical history reviews, and diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe and administer medications as needed, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventative measures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and efficient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe and ethical work environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with advancements in pediatric neurology and oncology.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress.
- Advocate for patients and families to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for other healthcare team members.
- Collaborate with community resources to provide comprehensive care to patients and families.
- Adhere to regulatory and compliance standards to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
Current And Valid Nurse Practitioner License In The State Of Ohio.
Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Nurse Practitioner In Neurology Oncology.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Nurse Practitioner In An Inpatient Setting, Preferably In Neurology Oncology.
Certification As A Nurse Practitioner In Oncology (Acnp-On) Through A Nationally Recognized Certifying Body.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Neurology And Oncology Treatments, Medications, And Protocols For Inpatient Care.
