Job Description

As an Inpatient Pharmacist at Cincinnati Children’s, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services to our pediatric patients. We are looking for a team-oriented, detail-oriented Pharmacist who is passionate about providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school, a current Ohio Pharmacist license, and at least one year of inpatient pharmacy experience. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare providers. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide safe and effective medication delivery to pediatric patients.
  2. Maintain current Ohio Pharmacist license.
  3. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all medication orders.
  4. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other healthcare providers.
  5. Participate in medication use evaluations, quality improvement initiatives, and formulary management.
  6. Respond to inquiries from patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  7. Maintain current knowledge of medications, formularies, and patient-specific drug therapy protocols.
  8. Provide drug information, education, and counseling to patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  9. Monitor patient drug therapies and provide recommendations for drug therapy changes.
  10. Participate in clinical rounds and provide drug therapy recommendations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy

  • Registered Pharmacist In The State Of Ohio

  • Three () Years Of Hospital Pharmacy Experience

  • Knowledge Of Pharmacy Laws And Regulations

  • Ability To Prioritize Work And Manage Multiple Tasks

  • Demonstrated Experience In Iv Admixture

  • Demonstrated Experience In Drug Distribution Systems.
