School Based Social Worker

1. Provide individual and group counseling services to students in a school setting.
2. Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized plans for students' social and emotional well-being.
3. Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and develop appropriate interventions.
4. Work closely with families to support their involvement in their child's mental health treatment.
5. Connect students and their families to community resources and services as needed.
6. Maintain accurate and confidential records of all services provided.
7. Serve as an advocate for students and their families, ensuring their needs are met.
8. Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
9. Stay up-to-date on best practices and research in the field of school-based social work.
10. Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines in all aspects of the job.
11. Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss student progress and develop treatment plans.
12. Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
13. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of the school and Cincinnati Children's.
14. Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude when interacting with students, families, and colleagues.
15. Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
16. Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychiatrists and psychologists, to provide comprehensive care to students.
17. Utilize trauma-informed care principles to support students who have experienced trauma.
18. Advocate for the mental health needs of students within the school and larger community.
19. Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians and provide them with resources and support.
20. Act as a positive role model for students and promote positive behaviors and coping mechanisms.
