As a part of our global security team, you will be responsible for leading our incident response efforts and ensuring the safety and integrity of our network and systems. This role requires a unique combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills.   1. Lead the incident response efforts for all security incidents within the organization.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement incident response plans.
  3. Investigate and analyze security incidents to identify the root cause and determine the extent of the impact.
  4. Make critical decisions in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment to contain and mitigate security threats.
  5. Manage and guide a team of experts during security incidents, providing direction and support as needed.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including IT teams, legal, and management.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends, and proactively identify potential vulnerabilities within the organization.
  8. Develop and implement incident response procedures and guidelines to improve the organization's overall security posture.
  9. Coordinate with external vendors and law enforcement agencies as necessary during security incidents.
  10. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management, to provide updates on security incidents and recommend future preventative measures.
  11. Conduct post-incident reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  12. Mentor and train junior team members on incident response best practices and procedures.
  13. Ensure compliance with all relevant security policies, standards, and regulations.
  14. Represent the organization at industry events and conferences to share knowledge and stay informed about emerging security threats.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Incident Response And Crisis Management: A Senior Security Incident Commander At Cisco Systems Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Responding To Security Incidents In A High-Pressure And Fast-Paced Environment.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Cyber Security Principles And Technologies: The Candidate Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Various Security Frameworks, Protocols, And Technologies, Such As Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, And Encryption Methods.

  • Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Senior Leader In The Incident Response Team, The Candidate Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Provide Clear And Concise Instructions During A Security Incident.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Senior Security Incident Commander Should Be Able To Think Critically And Make Quick Decisions In A High-Stress Situation. They Should Also Have The Ability To Analyze Complex Data And Identify Potential Security Threats.

  • Experience With Incident Management Tools: Proficiency In Using Incident Management Tools, Such As Siem (Security Information And Event Management) And Threat Intelligence Platforms, Is Essential For A Senior Security Incident Commander At Cisco Systems.
