As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our networking and storage drivers for our Virtual Interface Card (VIC) products.   1. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly test the functionality and performance of our VIC networking and storage drivers.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot software defects and issues.
  3. Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations for resolving issues.
  4. Continuously monitor and report on the quality and reliability of our networking and storage drivers.
  5. Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability and quality of new features and enhancements.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for software testing and quality assurance.
  7. Work closely with product management and development teams to understand product requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
  8. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline testing and increase efficiency.
  9. Create and maintain documentation related to testing processes, procedures, and results.
  10. Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA engineers on testing methodologies and best practices.
  11. Collaborate with customer support teams to understand and resolve reported issues.
  12. Participate in the release process and provide sign-off for product releases.
  13. Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving product quality and customer satisfaction.
  14. Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality results within specified deadlines.
  15. Represent Cisco Systems in a professional and positive manner at all times.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: A Critical Aspect Of A Software Qa Engineer's Job Is To Identify And Resolve Issues And Bugs In The Software. A Qualified Candidate Should Have Excellent Problem-Solving Skills And Be Able To Work Well Under Pressure To Find Solutions To Complex Problems.

  • Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Member Of A Larger Team, A Software Qa Engineer Should Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills In Order To Effectively Work With Developers, Product Managers, And Other Stakeholders To Ensure The Quality Of Cisco's Networking And Storage Products.
