  1. Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of trees throughout the city to ensure their health and identify any potential risks or issues.
  2. Develop and implement tree care plans to promote the longevity and growth of the urban forest.
  3. Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal in a safe and efficient manner.
  4. Utilize specialized equipment and techniques for tree care, such as climbing, rigging, and using aerial lifts.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the team to prioritize and coordinate tree care tasks.
  6. Keep detailed records of tree inventory, maintenance activities, and any other relevant data.
  7. Educate and inform the public about responsible tree care practices and the importance of the urban forest.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry standards, best practices, and regulations related to arboriculture.
  9. Monitor and respond to emergency situations involving trees, such as storm damage or hazardous conditions.
  10. Act as a liaison between the city and external contractors or vendors for tree care services.
  11. Continuously assess and make recommendations for improving the health and sustainability of the urban forest.
  12. Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and the public to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Forestry, Horticulture Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Tree Care And Maintenance

  • Certified Arborist Designation From The International Society Of Arboriculture (Isa)

  • Knowledge Of Local Tree Ordinances And Regulations

  • Experience In Conducting Tree Risk Assessments And Creating Tree Management Plans.
