- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for arts education programs and initiatives that align with the city's goals and values.
- Collaborate with local arts and cultural organizations to develop and implement educational programming that reflects the diversity of the community.
- Manage a team of educators and support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the budget for arts education programs, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in arts education, and incorporate new ideas and approaches into program development.
- Work with community partners and stakeholders to identify and address barriers to participation in arts education programs, with a focus on promoting inclusivity and equity.
- Plan and facilitate professional development opportunities for educators and community partners, to enhance their skills and knowledge in arts education.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote arts education programs and initiatives to the community.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of arts education programs, and make recommendations for improvements or changes.
- Represent the city at community events and meetings to advocate for the importance of arts education and promote the city's cultural offerings.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to arts education programs, including participant information, budget expenditures, and program evaluations.
- Stay current with local, state, and federal policies and regulations related to arts education, and ensure compliance in all programming and initiatives.
- Foster positive relationships with artists, educators, community leaders, and other stakeholders to support and enhance arts education opportunities in the city.
- Provide regular reports and updates to city officials and other stakeholders on the status and impact of arts education programs.
- Continuously seek out new opportunities for collaboration and partnership to expand and enhance arts education offerings in the community.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Education, Fine Arts, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Or Leadership Role In Arts Education.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Art Forms, Cultural Traditions, And Educational Techniques.
Experience In Curriculum Development And Implementation, As Well As Program Planning And Evaluation.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With School Districts, Community Organizations, And Other Stakeholders.
